About the Brunswik Society

The Society was founded by Kenneth Hammond in 1985.  The first meeting, held in Boston, was sponsored by Ciba-Geigy, Limited, Basel, Switzerland, represented by C.R.B. Joyce. Members of the Society share an appreciation of the work of the psychologist Egon Brunswik. The Society has no dues. Its primary activities have been a meeting held every year from 1985 to 2008 and in 2017, 2020 and 2021, and a yearly newsletter since 1986.  The newsletters, archived on this website, include brief summaries of members’ research.
